Update from Crissy:
Community Church Springville will have a booth at this year's Springfest in downtown Springville.
We will be selling prints of Springville (taken by Jessica Wright Photography)to help the Chamber of Commerce raise money for playground equipment for the park. Currently there is only a swing set, a pond and a walking track at the park. We have also volunteered to help build the playground when the equipment comes in; whenever that may be.
At Springfest we will also be giving away bottles of water. We discovered that since the event was being sponsored by Coca-Cola any bottles of water to be given away had to be Dasani. At first, we thought this was the end of that idea but found out that Coke has a "Match Purchase" program. We ended up being able to buy them for less than $.30 each. Now we just need to go pick up 70 cases of water. Ahhh!
Another function of the booth is to advertise the Creative Community ministry. This is an arts and crafts teaching booth we rent in the Old Antique Mall in downtown Springville. But that's a whole other post...
We hope some of our Moody people will make the short trip up to Springville and stop by our booth. I think it would be encouraging to everyone involved. Plus we can all enjoy the live music and fireworks together! Come and see what the Lord is doing!
